Surety Audits
Purpose (top)
The audit is a compliance audit, and is designed to identify processes that are not in compliance, using Idaho Statutes and Administrative Rules as the standard. The audit is not intended as a management audit, which would identify how a process came to be out of compliance.
Pre-Audit Surveys (top)
The IDAPA Survey and the Surety Questionnaire highlight areas of particular concern, and are completed and returned to the assigned Auditor prior to the site audit. As well, they may provide guidance for sureties considering entry into the Idaho workers' compensation market.
2009 Surety Audit Schedule (top)
In accordance with IDAPA 17.02.03.051.10, the Idaho Industrial Commission conducts periodic audits of employers, insurance companies, adjusters, and self-insured employers to ensure compliance with the requirements for maintaining Idaho workers' compensation claims.
If you have any concerns about claims or adjusting practices that you would like to share with the Commission about any insurance company or third-party adjuster, please email Scott McDougall.
