Peace Officer and Detention Officer Temporary Disability Act Claims

The Commission rules regarding the Peace Officer and Detention Officer Temporary Disability Act may be viewed in IDAPA 17.11.01.011. This rule governs employers seeking reimbursement from the Peace Officer and Detention Officer Temporary Disability Fund. An employer eligible to seek reimbursement from the Fund should download the application and send it to:

A peace officer or detention officer asserting eligibility for the continuation of salary may file an Officer’s Complaint for Continuation of Salary Benefit Under Peace Officer and Detention Officer Temporary Disability Act. Any dispute regarding the officer’s eligibility for continuation of salary will be decided in accordance with the Commission’s current rules and procedures governing disputes in all other workers’ compensation claims.
